How we know what we publish.

Compensation data, benchmarks, and editorial recommendations — sourced, weighted, and refreshed on a documented cadence.

Compensation data

Comp ranges in our calculators come from three signals: (1) accepted offer data from our own placement history, weighted to the trailing 18 months; (2) third-party benchmarks from MGMA, SullivanCotter, BLS OEWS, and ACRP; and (3) a quarterly placed-candidate compensation survey. We refresh ranges quarterly. We do not infer comp from job-board postings.

Time-to-fill benchmarks

Time-to-fill medians use our last 18 months of permanent placements. We exclude reposted searches, searches abandoned within 21 days, and any role where the JD changed materially mid-search.

Editorial recommendations

Every recommendation in a guide or article is reviewed by a credentialed editorial reviewer (clinical, regulatory, or compensation specialist) before publication. We disclose all author and reviewer credentials on the byline and on the editorial board page.

What we do not do

We do not publish AI-generated content without human authorship. We do not synthesize comp data from unverifiable sources. We do not link to client websites in editorial as a form of payment.
